Position Summary

The Line Cook/ Caribbean Wellness Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting authentic Caribbean dishes with a strong focus on wellness, plant-based nutrition, and fresh local ingredients. This role is ideal for chefs who understand traditional Caribbean cuisine and are passionate about incorporating the natural benefits of plants, herbs, and fresh produce into thoughtfully prepared meals and wellness beverages.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and execute authentic Caribbean dishes with a wellness-focused, plant/organic forward approach

· Demonstrate knowledge of plant-based meals and the nutritional and medicinal benefits of herbs, fruits, and vegetables used in Caribbean cuisine

· Prepare fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including wellness beverages such as herbal teas, fresh juices, and tonics

· Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency

· Ensure all food preparation meets health, safety, and sanitation standards

· Work collaboratively with the culinary team to develop wellness-inspired menu items

· Properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients to minimize waste

· Support a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment

Qualifications & Experience

· Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a professional kitchen

· Strong understanding of traditional Caribbean cuisine and cooking techniques

· Knowledge of plant-based cooking and wellness-focused meal preparation

· Experience working with fresh, local, and seasonal produce

· Culinary training or certification is an asset

Skills & Competencies

· Ability to prepare flavorful, balanced, and nutritious dishes

· Understanding of the benefits of herbs, plants, and natural ingredients when incorporated into meals

· Strong time management and organizational skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

· Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
