Key Responsibilities

• Guest Safety and Surveillance: Actively and vigilantly monitor the designated pool and beach areas to prevent accidents and identify potential hazards.

• Emergency Response: Promptly and effectively respond to emergencies by administering first aid, CPR, or performing water rescue techniques as required.

• Rule Enforcement: Clearly and consistently enforce all safety rules and regulations to guests.

• Maintenance: Assist with the daily maintenance and cleanliness of the pool and surrounding areas, including checking chemical levels and organizing safety equipment.

• Guest Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, answering guest questions and promoting a friendly, welcoming environment.

• Reporting: Document and report all incidents, accidents, and equipment malfunctions to the relevant supervisor.

Requirements

• Certification: Possession of a Valid and Up-to-Date Lifeguard Certification from a recognized training organization.

• First Aid/CPR: Current certification in First Aid and CPR/AED is required.

• Physical Fitness: Excellent physical condition, including strong swimming skills, endurance, and the ability to pass a fitness assessment.

• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.

• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to clearly relay information and directions.

• Attention to Detail: Keen observational skills and the ability to maintain focus over long periods.

• Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
