Librarian

Job Summary

To provide operational and innovative leadership for library and information services across all TCICC campuses. The postholder is responsible for acquiring, organising, curating, and maintaining diverse print and digital collections; delivering high-quality reference and research support; advancing information literacy; and ensuring effective library management systems.

Assessment, Reporting, and Quality Assurance

  • Conducts usage analysis, user-satisfaction surveys, collection assessments, and service evaluations.
  • Prepares accurate reports aligned with the College’s strategic priorities, accreditation requirements, and quality-management systems
  • Contributes to policy development, operational planning, and risk management processes

Operational Management and Service Delivery

  • Oversees daily library operations, circulation services, interlibrary loans, and resource-sharing systems across all campus sites.
  • Ensures consistent service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Participates in institutional committees, stakeholder forums, and cross-campus initiatives.

Budget Management Support

  • Manage the annual Library budget to ensure adequate funding for print and digital resources, library technologies, and multi-campus operations in line with institutional priorities
  • Prepare financial reports and variance analyses for the divisional Vice President, offering data-driven recommendations to support strategic planning and resource allocation

Minimum qualification

A bachelor’s degree in library and information science or a related field is required from a recognized and accredited institution

Experience

  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in an academic library environment
  • Demonstrated experience delivering reference services, information literacy instruction, and digital resource management.
  • Experience managing or implementing integrated library systems and electronic databases.
  • Experience working within a multi-campus or multi-site environment is an asset.
  • Experience contributing to institutional accreditation or quality-assurance processes is advantageous

Annual Salary:          -           USD45,992.00

Overseas recruits are eligible for a Housing Allowance of USD7,800.00 per annum. A settling-in loan and 10% gratuity upon successful completion of the contract of engagement.
