A Law firm seeks to employ a Legal Secretary to join its team of professionals.

DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The firm seeks a self-motivated, driven individual to provide legal secretarial services to our team of Attorneys in the Litigation Department.

          Qualifications/Required skills and experience:

  •   Over 3 years of Secretarial experience or experience in a similar role.
  •   Secretarial Training or equivalent qualification.
  •   Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  •   Applicable knowledge of litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc.
  •   Highly organized with the ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  •   Good writing and oral communication skills, along with attention to detail.
  •   Excellent interpersonal skills.

           Responsibilities will include:

 

  1. Monitors and ensures the timely flow of documents between the Firm and clients, other law offices, the Courts,    Stamp and Titles Offices, Registrar of Companies and other relevant agencies or persons in relation to each matter.
  2. Prepare bundles, organize exhibits, documents, evidence etc.

  3. Monitors the Attorney’s calendar, files, hearings and helps in ensuring that deadlines are met.
  4. Keeping abreast of matters and ensure familiarity with same; to provide or initiate timely action and response to  queries.
  5. Prepares/completes legal documents and correspondence from drafts, dictation, on instruction or on own            initiative as required.
