- Lecturer- Chemistry (Full Time)
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidates should possess the following academic qualifications:
- M.Sc./MPhil in Chemistry or similar specialization
- a PhD in the specialized/equivalent area is preferred
- a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience at the tertiary level
- Training in Education would be an asset
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Preference will be given to individuals with the requisite knowledge, skills, and competency to teach the practices and processes associated with General Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry. The candidate must demonstrate clear evidence of productivity in scholarly and or creative output and a commitment to research. He/She will offer teaching through a variety of means, including lectures, practicals, small-group tutorials, problem-based learning, and 'e-learning' initiatives. He / She will be expected to innovate in each of these areas.
The candidate should:
- be engaged in relevant research and community service
- be a member of a professional organization and have an interest in developing services to industry and the public at large.
