OVERVIEW:
KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”).
JOB SUMMARY:
In the Firmwide & BPG Learning and Development (L&D) deployment team, the Assistant Officer supports the implementation and deployment of learning initiatives. As a Deployment Administrator, you will work closely with Deployment Leads and other team members to execute defined tasks related to the deployment of learning assets.
This role focuses on operational execution, data accuracy, and learner support, including responding to inquiries, performing data cross-checks, and completing system updates. The Assistant Officer is expected to follow established procedures, manage assigned tasks effectively, and escalate issues as needed. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, time management skills, clear communication, and a willingness to learn.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deployment of Learning Assets
- Perform assigned deployment tasks in collaboration with Deployment Leads and team members
- Generate standard reports, update tools and systems, and perform data cross-checks following documented procedures
- Create and send meeting planners from designated learning mailboxes
- Respond to learner inquiries using shared mailboxes or learner inquiry systems, escalating complex issues as appropriate
- Maintain materials print grids and assist with ordering materials for instructor-led programs
- Support the building of learning assets and enter course and offering data into learning systems (e.g., FOCUS, Degreed, OE Grid)
- Assist with submission of post-course documentation for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits
- Perform routine tasks within learning platforms, such as generating learner lists, updating pathways, and maintaining build grids
- Gather files from various sources for upload into document management systems
- Perform data entry, tracking, and basic analysis activities using Excel
- Complete other assigned duties in support of the deployment team
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university (or equivalent work experience)
- 0–2 years of experience in an administrative support, operations, or coordination role
- Exposure to Learning & Development or project-based environments is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to follow established processes, manage assigned tasks, and meet deadlines with guidance

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
- JESS uses a hybrid work model, allowing staff to work from home in Jamaica or in the office. Employees must be in the office at least five days per month, with more days possible if required by business needs.
- You are expected to use KPMG-approved Generative AI tools to support your daily work tasks.
- Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities.
- May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays.
