Supreme Ventures Services Ltd is employing a Learning & Development Officer. The employee is responsible for creating, implementing, and conducting training and development programs for employees.

The Learning & Development Officer will also equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills, and motivation to carry out their work activities effectively. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
  •  Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers. 
  • Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials to fulfill employees’ specific needs to maintain or improve job skills. 
  • Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lectures, simulations, and videos. 
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through performance metrics, assessments, surveys, and feedback. 
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Supports career development initiatives, succession planning, and leadership programs.
  • Provides guidance to managers on coaching, mentoring, and development planning. 
  • Prepares reports on training outcomes, participation, and ROI. 
  • Recommends improvements to learning strategies and content. 

Perform other duties as assigned by the Learning & Development Manager and SVP, People & Corporate Services

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field required. 
  • Training and development certification is an asset
  • At least two (2) years of training experience required.
