Maximize sales and measure performance on a daily basis with reference to sales reports versus targets. Manage the resources of the department to ensure maximum productivity achievement of departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Establish sales and Gross Profit goals and objectives for the Department.
Maintain and manage the department by overseeing the recruitment, selection training and developing personal growth opportunities for employees with the assistance of the HR Department.
Oversee and participate in the coordination of sales promotion activities, including proper use of in-store signs advertising sales and promotions.
Develop Quarterly Business plan and Promotional plans for all Key Account customers.
Conducted quarterly Business Reviews and manage customer performance versus predetermined targets.
Build and promote strong relationships with customers.
Work closely with marketing personnel to develop proposals for customers.
Develop staff through coaching, counselling and discipline.
Ensure efficient service by developing, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards.
Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analysingvariances and initiating corrective actions.
Establish an annual department plan by developing sales strategies, objectives, action plans and assignments.
Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analysing and resolving quality and customer service problems; recommending system improvements.
Liaise with external principals, customers, regional offices and line management to ensure instructions, plans and procedures are carried out.
Sustain rapport with external and internal customers by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities.
Report on departmental activities, issues, plans and performance to Senior Management.
Work closely with marketing personnel to develop proposals for customers.
Monitor collections with the sales representatives at all times and to getinvolved where necessary.
Evaluate success and provide feedback on new customer and marketing programs. This should include recommendations for improvement.
Assist in other areas of work based on the needs of the department and any other area as necessary in support of Company activities.
