JUNIOR MECHANIC
What You’ll Do
- Work with a team of mechanics and operators at job sites.
- Carry out inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment including loaders, cranes, and bulldozers.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using computerized testing equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, and lubrication.
- Report faulty or unsafe equipment to management
- Document completed work and parts used.
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ-J Level 2 or 3 in Automotive Servicing or Heavy Equipment Mechanics or Technical certification from a recognized institution.
- 1–3 years’ experience working on heavy-duty equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and construction machinery.
- Ability to use computerized diagnostic/testing tools.
- Prior experience in the Mining or Construction sector is an asset.
