Junior IT Support Officer

We are seeking competent and qualified candidates to fill the position of Junior IT Support Officer.

 Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Senior Regional Support Officer in the day-to-day maintenance and support of all I.T infrastructure and related services utilized in all locations.

 Responsibility:          

• Installation, configuration and administration of Windows Server environments.
• Installation, configuration and administration of IP and Analogue Camera Systems.
• Installation, configuration and administration of all Point of Sales Systems including, scales/scanners, magnetic strip readers etc.
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of wired and wireless network systems and all related infrastructure such as routers, switches, access points and firewalls
• Administration of
• Maintenance of backup jobs and backup schedules for all information repositories such as file servers and databases.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the IT Support team members, including addressing Tier 3 technical support issues.
• Frequently visit multiple branch locations to ensure that information systems infrastructure is optimally maintained.
• Identify, research, and master new technologies related to services that comprise the company’s systems architecture
• Maintain up-to-date network and server related manuals, procedures and other documentation.
• Any other duty as may be assigned within the scope of the job.

 Functional/Technical Competencies: 

• Knowledge of windows server platform 2008/2012/2016
• Good knowledge of NCR Point of Sale Systems
• Knowledge of LOC Store Management Suite
• Knowledge of Ubiquity wireless solutions
• Knowledge of IP and Analogue camera systems
• Quick learner and working knowledge of software design, development and implementation on a network platform

 Education/Experience:                         

• Bachelors or Associate Degree in Information Systems 
• CompTIA A+ Certification
• CCENT Certification
• Minimum of two (2) years working experience
