Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Junior Expeditor with some experience in the oil and gas industry.

 

Overview / Responsibilites

 

The Junior Expeditor is responsible for monitoring, following up, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services. This role requires proactive communication with vendors and internal stakeholders, tracking purchase orders, and maintaining accurate reporting to support subcontractor management and overall project execution.

 

  • Supplier Follow-Up & Communication
    • Maintain regular contact with suppliers to confirm purchase order (PO) status, shipping details, and expected delivery timelines.
    • Escalate potential delays or issues to the relevant stakeholders for resolution.
  • Order Tracking & On-Time Delivery (OTD) Management
    • Order Tracking & On-Time Delivery (OTD) Management
    • Monitor supplier performance against agreed delivery dates.
    • Update internal systems and records with current delivery statuses.
    • Support subcontractor management by ensuring timely material availability
  • Internal Stakeholder Engagement
    • Provide routine updates on PO status to procurement, materials management, and project teams.
    • Prepare and circulate expediting reports, highlighting risks, delays, and recovery actions.
    • Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and contract focal points to align priorities.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain expediting logs and records in accordance with company standards.
    • Support data collection and reporting for supplier performance evaluations.
    • Assist in identifying trends and providing input for process improvements.
  • Performs all other related job functions as required.

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field Bachelor’s degree an asset). 
  •  Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Maximo, or equivalent) considered an asset
  • 2 years’ experience in procurement, logistics, expediting, or supply chain support (internship or entry-level role acceptable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  •  High attention to detail and accuracy in tracking data.
  •  Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
  •  Proactive problem-solving approach with a focus on results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and trustworthiness.
  • Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Character (must not be older than 6 months).
  • Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
