Junior Costing Officer

The incumbent will perform costing duties according to established policies and procedures with the objective of recording and validating various transactions in a timely and accurate manner, while observing confidentiality and adherence to the company's policies.

The Stewart's Automotive Group is seeking a qualified individual with a strong work ethic to fill the position of 

JUNIOR COSTING OFFICER 

POSITION SUMMARY:   The incumbent will perform costing duties according to established policies and procedures with the objective of recording and validating various transactions in a timely and accurate manner, while observing confidentiality and adherence to the company's policies. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ROLE:

Costing:

• Perform parts costing for Stewart’s Automotive Group (Stewart Industrial, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Silver Star, JLR GWM, BYD and Honda Bike) with the goal of entering data accurately and in alignment with the Accounts Department Costing standards and timelines established in the Performance Appraisal process.

General Accounting Tasks:

• Prepare/Update Detention Deposit Schedules for Stewart’s Automotive Group (Stewart Industrial, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Silver Star, JLR GWM, BYD and Honda Bike) (Daily).
• Consistently update the Late Charges Schedule for Stewart’s Automotive Group (Stewart Industrial, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Silver Star, JLR GWM, BYD and Honda Bike) (Daily).

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
• A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
• Must be detailed oriented with attention paid to accuracy and neatness of work and having a low percentage of mistakes and errors.
• Must take responsibility for beginning/originating new actions and ideas in order to enhance performance levels and efficiency.
• Must be dependable in carrying out responsibilities, timely and accurately, with or without supervision.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
• Excellent oral and writing skills
• Sound knowledge of accounting software
• Strong analytical skills
