Junior Accountant, Taxes and Regulatory Reporting

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support the Finance team in delivering timely and accurate regulatory reporting, tax compliance, and financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Regulatory Reporting:
1.    Preparation and submitting statutory and regulatory reports to local authorities across multiple territories, quarterly, annually or as requested by the regulator.
2.    Maintain awareness of changing regulations and ensure compliance with local financial reporting requirements.
3.    Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules.

Taxation:
1.    Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate income tax, and other relevant tax returns for applicable jurisdictions.
2.    Support tax reconciliations and assist with data gathering for tax provisions and year-end reporting.
3.    Ensure accurate maintenance of tax records and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.

Compliance Reporting:
1.    Help monitor internal financial controls to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
2.    Assist in compiling data for compliance-related reporting.
3.    Work closely with cross-functional teams and external advisors to support compliance requirements.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 
1.    ACCA level 3, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2.    Minimum two years years of relevant accounting or finance experience
3.    Basic knowledge of IFRS 
4.    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Oracle is preferred.
5.    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
6.    Ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt in a fast paced environment.
7.    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
As a regulated entity with obligations under the Know Your Employee guidelines, a Certificate of Character is required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: 
The Junior Accountant will thrive in hybrid, flexible, and remote working arrangements, with the ability to adapt to shifting workflows, high volumes, and tight deadlines. They will be self-motivated, organised, and able to deliver results with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills, a reliable remote setup, and proficiency with digital collaboration tools are essential, while prior experience in similar environments is an advantage.
