JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

A high-end luxury boutique hotel which caters to local and international clients is currently recruiting for the role of Junior Accountant.

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of accounting principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to operate efficiently in a fast- paced environment.

 Core duties include:

• Full maintenance of accounts payables
• Posting of entries to the general ledger e.g. income journals
• Preparation of daily management reports
• Preparation of GCT returns
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
• Payroll processing
• Timely preparation of monthly statutory reports

Performance of general accounting duties as required The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• An Associates or First Degree in Accounting or alternate Accounting qualification
• A minimum of 2 years’ continuous experience in accounting.
• Experience in the hospitality sector is an asset
• Excellent computer skills with a good working knowledge of QuickBooks, Ordyx, Optimum Control or other similar accounting and payroll software
• Detail- and deadline-oriented with the ability to multi-task
• High level of confidentiality, reliability and responsibility
• Team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.
