Are you detail-oriented with a passion for numbers and process accuracy? We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team in Kingston.

Job Summary:

Complete payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling reports.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of Payroll Summary Report for the generation of Invoices.
  • Entering and Posting all Payroll Deductions for GML, MML & GSL.
  • Create new vendor in the system.
  • Process Payroll cheques fortnightly.
  • Process Payroll Deduction cheques monthly.
  • Process Payroll Short payments when required.
  • Reconcile Deduction reports with Payroll Summary fortnightly.
  • Maintain proper filling system of all invoices/documents received for payment
  • Preparation of Bank Reconciliation for the Payroll accounts.
  • Preparation of Audit Schedules pertaining to Payroll.
  • Management of Iprotect Payables.
  • Any other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Working knowledge of payroll processing and accounts payable

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (experience with Microkey is a plus)

  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience working in a finance or accounting role is an asset
