As a Trainee Operator, you will work alongside our experienced Plant Manufacturing team, learning the fundamentals of plant operations, equipment maintenance, quality control, and safety while building a strong foundation for your career.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with setting up machines at the beginning of each shift to ensure efficient operation
  • Support testing and monitoring of equipment to maintain optimal performance throughout production.
  • Assist with machine cleaning and routine maintenance activities.
  • Input production parameters such as speed, shape, and size settings into machine control systems.
  • Load parts into semi-automated machines and support production activities.
  • Assist with machine calibration and recalibration processes.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any operational issues.
  • Support troubleshooting activities during machine operation.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance and safety inspection activities.
  • Conduct quality checks and assist with product inspections.
  • Help maintain adequate stocks of production materials.
  • Create and update activity logs and production records.
  • Provide production updates to supervisors as required.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Technology / Mechanical Engineering Technology / Industrial Maintenance Technology
  • Certification in Process Plant Operations is considered an asset
  • Experience in a shift environment
  • Experience in ISO-9001 environment is considered an asse
  • 3-6 months experience in a manufacturing environment
