Quality Assurance Coordinator

Lanco Industries Ltd. located in Ewarton, North St. Catherine, is a leading manufacturer and exporter of high-quality custom window treatments and shutters. As we seek to meet and exceed the quality expectations  of our discerning international customers, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Coordinator to uphold and elevate our product standards and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Monitoring: Regularly inspect raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
  2. Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of all QA tests, identifying any patterns or recurrent issues.
  3. Process Improvement: Collaborate with production and operations teams to implement effective quality control processes and refine existing ones.
  4. Training: Develop training modules and conduct workshops for staff, ensuring that they are well-equipped to maintain the highest standards of quality in their respective roles.
  5. Supplier/Raw Material  Management: Provide fast feedback in cases where there are variances in any raw material that impacts the quality of the process or the product.
  6. Customer Feedback: Utilizes the real-time collaborative Customer Complaints Log  to gather feedback on our products, using this information to recommend improvements and address issues proactively.
  7. Reporting: Regularly present findings to factory management, suggesting actionable strategies for continual quality improvement.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

-          Supervises the Process Quality Inspectors to ensure that daily and weekly targets are met.

-          Provides direct oversight for the Final Quality Control Area

-          Endures that the products meets the quality standards in a timely manner in order to meet the weekly shipping deadline.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably an Associate degree or post secondary training in Quality Assurance or Quality Control      
  • Minimum of a high school education with passes to include English Language and a numeric subject.
  • At least five years’ hands on experience and knowledge in a  manufacturing  plant, especially furniture, window and doors or window treatments.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Supervisory or Team Leader   capacity in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with international export regulations and standards is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
