JOB OPPORTUNITY

ACCOUNTS CLERK

Sector: Retail

Location: San Juan

Salary: $6,000 per month

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 1 ACCA completed, FIA/CAT qualified or alternative certification by a recognized body
  • Accounting experience required, inventory management would be an asset
  • Accounting software experience in QuickBooks and/or Peachtree
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior knowledge and experience in managing statutory obligations
  • Detail oriented individual with great problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintains a high and consistent level of professionalism

 Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Creating financial reports and/or audits periodically for internal and external purposes
  • Management of the company’s receivables and payables
  • Management and communication with customer and vendor statements and credit terms
  • Communication and management of the company’s statutory obligations inclusive of but not limited to: NIB, BIR, Companies’ registry and the organization’s financial institutions/partners
  • Management of the company’s delivery notes
  • Management of the company’s customer and vendor refunds/credit notes
  • Creation and maintenance of effective filing systems for all documents, records and reports both electronically and physically
  • Cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy
  • Periodical preparation and/or review of incoming and outgoing invoices, bills and/or receipts
  • Liaising with the company’s Accountant(s) if and when required
  • Preparing annual and/or monthly budgets with the director
  • Weekly assessment of the company’s financial position in conjunction with Management
  • Tracking & managing the organization's and Director’s expenses
  • Management of all of the aforementioned accounting practices in the company’s software and/or spreadsheets
  • Management of the company’s attendance systems in conjunction with the Manager and/or Director
  • Monitor and report inventory levels, stock obsolescence and inventory variances in conjunction with the Purchaser, Manager and/or Director periodically
  • Follow organizational policies and regulations
  • Director support as requested/instructed
  • Maintain and exemplify a professional image and attitude as a front-line representative of the organization
