Mid-sized manufacturing looking for a self-motivated and experienced Accounting Clerk to be responsible for accurate financial record keeping and providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other managers.

Mid-sized manufacturing looking for a self-motivated and experienced Accounting Clerk to be responsible for accurate financial record keeping and providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the department.  You will use accounting software to record and process expenditures, receipts, payroll and other financial transactions. Ensures files are complete and maintained as needed, handles accounts receivable duties, and assists accounting personnel.

 Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare designated portfolio reconciliations
  • Prepare designated bank reconciliations
  • Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors.
  • Research, track, and resolve accounting problems.
  • Producing a variety of reports including income statements and balance sheets
  • Checking for accuracy in reports, figures and postings
  • Reconciling and reporting any discrepancies found in the records
  • Issue checks for accounts payable.
  • Record business transactions and key daily worksheets to the general ledger system.
  • Input type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
  • File and tally deposits.
  • Process bills for payment.
  • Utilize computer systems to run databases, pay bills and order supplies.
  • Contact individuals with delinquent accounts.
  • Ensure customers accept payments or refunds.
  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department and others as directed by the Senior Accounting Officer.

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • ACCA Level 1 
  • Associates / BS in Accounting is preferred. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in QuickBooks
  • A minimum of two (2) years working experience in a similar position
  • Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounting Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk
  • A complete or comprehensive understanding accounting practices and procedures
  • Hands on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Attention to detail
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Well Organized
  • The ability to act responsibly and ethically when working with sensitive financial information, whether it’s information for the company or for individuals
