PRODUCT SPECIALIST (LIGHTING) - KINGSTON
The successful candidate will work closely with the team to provide technical/sales support to all stakeholders that drives the performance of the business.
Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Research and consult with customer to understand their lighting needs
• Assist with developing application of lighting products to ensure sales opportunities for products and services.
• Evaluate and recommend lighting products based on efficiency aesthetics and functionality
• Conduct product demonstration and provide the sales team with product training and support
• Assist customers with lighting product selection and application
• Provide technical support and emphasize saleable features
• Displaying products in an easy-to-locate manner, assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
• Provide customers with accurate stock and delivery information
• Review and analyze reports of business transactions
• Provide sales data for new and existing customers for database entry
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets
Qualification & Skills
• Bachelor ‘s Degree preferably in Electrical Engineering or any other related technical field
• Three (3) years related experience in a similar role within the lighting industry
• Technical knowledge of LED technology and lighting control systems
• In-depth knowledge of various lighting products, technologies, fixtures, applications and industry standards
• Experience in providing pre-sales and post-sales support to customers
• Ability to convert prospects and close deals
• Ability to analyze and solve technical issues related to lighting products
