Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for developing, executing and overseeing the business strategy that prioritizes revenue growth and positive customer experience.

Business Development Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for developing, executing and overseeing the business strategy that prioritizes revenue growth and positive customer experience.

Our ideal candidate is a dynamic and organized individual, with excellent communication and relationship building skills, and an ability to build and leverage networks.  The position is based in Kingston and requires travel throughout the country. At minimum, applicants should possess the following:

• First Degree or ACII or its equivalent
• A minimum of five (5) years’ related industry experience
• At least three (3) years’ experience managing people
• FSC Registration in at least motor, property and liability insurance
• Strong sales and presentation skills
• In depth working knowledge of the classes of business registered to sell
• Excellent networking, communication and negotiating skills
• Sound research and strategy development skills
• Sound Business Intelligence skills
• Excellent rapport with industry partners (brokers, insurers and service providers) would be an asset
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent time management and the ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite [EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint etc.
