Laboratory Technician

We're hiring for our pharmaceutical client in Kingston, Jamaica.

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Monitoring operations on the production line at regular intervals daily.
• Assisting in performing laboratory tests on production batches in accordance with standard procedures, and under supervision.
• Testing of stability study samples and maintenance of the relevant documentation.
• Data entry and assisting with the generation of reports.
• Equipment verification.
• Line start-up verifications and approvals.
• Media and reagent preparation.
• Environmental monitoring activities.
• Water quality monitoring.
• Conduction cleaning validation on equipment.
• Assisting in the maintenance of the Quality and Food Safety Systems and continuous improvement.
• Assisting with sampling and tagging of raw/packaging materials.

Required qualifications, competencies, and experience include:

• Minimum – Degree in Chemistry or Applied Biological Science or related field.
• (1) Years’ experience in a laboratory setting.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or food industry.
• Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, GMP, and other Quality Management Systems.
• Detail oriented.
• Self-motivated.
• Flexible and dedicated.
• Working knowledge of Computer Systems.
