Job Summary:

To monitor and report on the status of the Company's financial accounts to the Management Team and to work closely with all stakeholders in an effort to provide solutions and make recommendations as it relates to the Company's Finances.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.

The successful candidate should be versed in the following:
  • Must Possess a Positive and a 'Can Do attitude' to ensure that all deadlines are met.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate financial alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.
  • Well-developed written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have a strong drive & passion towards the accomplishment of assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to manage and lead a team to ensure that they are always aligned with the Goals of the Department and the Company.
  • Preparation and publishing of timely monthly financial and management reports.
  • Preparation, submission and presentation of monthly management accounts on a timely basis; cash-flow reports weekly, and to participate in and advise on discussions and matters pertaining to the function.
  • Providing direct day to day management and control of the accounting function.
  • Preparation of budgets as per stipulated timelines.
  • Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of all supporting information for the annual audit with the approved external auditor.
  • Developing and maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory filing.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/ ACCA or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of Quick Books Online
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in general ledger accounting, accounts reconciliation, financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent Excel & Accounting software Skills.

Salary shall be commensurate with Qualifications and Experience
