PLANNING ENGINEER

As a Planning Engineer you are responsible for developing and updating the Unit Planning on the planning system, integrate Plans, communicate to stakeholders, think ahead for opportunities and to solve problems, reporting, etc.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITES

  • Developing and maintaining the Unit Planning on the planning system.
  • Ensure the transversal review of the planning's to identify potential gains in efficiency, including integration and synergy across other units on the region.
  • Ensures all activities/ Unit are assessed and prioritized accurately, at the coordination meeting.
  • Ensures the plan identifies all the logistical means required to execute and that the unit management is timely informed of all critical activities.
  • Gather information from all the stakeholders to maintain the operation planning to ensure the plan is up to date.
  • Maintain- issues and reports on the integrated planning as per GEMS process.
  • Work closely with the stakeholders to gather data to build the long-term planning.
  • Calls and chairs the coordination planning meetings. Drives the planning objectives cascading and reporting.
  • Monitor plan attainment and flag risks and opportunities to Unit manager.
  • Maintain close liaison with offshore team and visit the offshore Unit on a regular basis.
  • Contribute to the continued improvement and implementation of the best practices in the planning discipline.
  • Liaise with Maintenance Coordinator & Ops engineer ensuring that they accurately reflect the latest updates from both offshore, onshore and the various entities and vendors in IFS.
  • Assist as necessary with day-to-day co-ordination activities to ensure the unit plan execution.
  • Work closely with the SD Mgt to ensure SD related WO's have been incorporated in the SD Planning.
  • Liaise with the Finance team to have the 3 years plan budget aligned/approved.
  • Contribute to the Operation planning improvement.
  • Assistance in replacing the other planners in case of their absence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :
  • Engineering degree.
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
  • Able to travel abroad and offshore on short or long duration basis as required.
Experience :
  • 5 years minimum experience in Project Controls environment (Planning experience mandatory)
  • 5 yearsminimum experience in Oil and Gas business
  • Offshore experience and/or Shipyard experience is a plus

Specific skills / expertise / product :
  • - Extensive use of Primavera P6 software
  • - Microsoft Project skills
  • - Extensive use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Pack office in general
  • - Good knowledge in complex project execution
  • - IFS / CMMS experience would be considered a plus

  • Excellent communication skills mandatory
  • Capabilities to work remotely and autonomously with various stakeholders spread around the world

  • Anticipation skills to deliver on time several project status in a short period of time (monthly reporting)
