Wedding & Event Planner/Account Executive (Montego Bay)

JOB SUMMARY

The Wedding & Event Planner/Account Executives sells the Company’s suite of products and services within an assigned region. The position is responsible for all aspects of the client experience and as such is required to effectively collaborate with project teams to ensure the execution and delivery of an experience that meets/surpasses the client’s expectations and in keeping with the Company’s brand.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly responsible for assigned weddings & events. Must ensure immediate contact with client is initiated and maintained throughout the life of project.
  • Hosting or attending wedding and event consultations to determine scope of work and direction.
  • Producing wedding and event look books (mood boards), event design plans and production to effectively communicate event plan to all stakeholders.
  • Effectively and efficiently generate and manage budgets to clients in keeping with scope.
  • Continuously seek insight into current industry trends.
  • Ensure all activities are measured and reported against timelines.
  • Oversee project plans for assigned weddings & events.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly project updates as is required.
  • Engage and manage a team of skilled contracted workers and labourers to achieve project objectives during planning and execution phase.
  • Oversee Style installations and project plans at weddings and events.

QUALIFICTION AND EXPERIENCE

Required

  • A degree/certification in interior design.
  • Certification in wedding planning/coordination services. 
  • High levels of creativity; possess a great flair with variety in styles; Meticulous in attention to finer details.
  • Sound understanding of project management principles and practices (with certification).
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to build strategic relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
