TECHNICAL OPERATOR

This post requires you to operate and troubleshoot assigned packaging equipment whilst maintaining and controlling processing operations in accordance with standard operating procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES - 

1. Maintains and controls processing operations in accordance with determined standards.
2. Responsible for equipment operations and assigned area of responsibility in accordance with the standard operating procedures and/or instructions issued by the Production Supervisor and/ or Manager
3. Prepares equipment for product changeovers.
4. Performs all adjustments to assigned equipment as per equipment specifications as needed to ensure optimum performance.
5. Maintains necessary tools and materials issued to ensure optimum operation of assigned equipment.
6. Performs troubleshooting and fault tracing analysis to determine equipment condition and to correct certain pre-defined deviations from set parameters (as per the relevant equipment manual/handbook and other documented procedures that may exist from time to time).
7. Reports and makes appropriate recommendations (for corrective action and/or process improvement) for any unresolved problems to the Production Supervisor and/or Maintenance personnel.
8. Performs all quality control tests/checks as required.
9. Ensures good housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained at the designated equipment and immediate environs.
10. Ensures that material/process/product specifications are met for the particular machine in operation and in accordance with stated quality requirements and equipment materials specifications.
11. Conducts all duties in accordance with the Company’s HSE policy and procedures.
12. Liaises with Technical Operators, Engineering Personnel, Maintenance Personnel, Quality Control Personnel and Warehouse and Brewing Personnel as appropriate.
13. Liaise with external consultants who may visit from time to time, when required.
14. Performs any other related duties required by the job function.
