Retail Store/Sales Clerk

Our company operates a Retail store at the NMIA Airport, Palisadoes, Kingston

A Retail Store/Sales Clerk is responsible for generating sales, offering exceptional customer service and merchandising


Basic Responsibilities

• Operating cash register, accepting cash, foreign currency and debit/credit cards as forms of payments, input required information onto cash receipts
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Participate with in-store inventory and daily stock counts
• Assists in merchandising, display maintenance and general housekeeping duties.
• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.
• Ensure the proper wrapping & bagging of sold merchandise to customers.
• Establish or identify prices of goods using cash registers
• Ensure accuracy between the sale and money collected.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-4 Years experience in a retail environment
• CXC subjects including Mathematics & English
• Computer Literate
• Must be willing to work on Weekends and early morning shifts
• Must be willing to travel to NMIA Airport (Job Location)
