To assist in planning, organizing, directing, controlling and coordinating the repair, service, maintenance and cleaning of the plant, buildings equipment, electronic systems and machinery, according to established standards in a cost effective manner.

1. To develop implement and supervise the operation of a preventative maintenance         program for all plant, equipment and machinery.

2.  To supervise the maintenance and repairs to all plant equipment, on a daily basis.

3. To supervise the installation of all new plant equipment and machinery.

4.  To ensure that protective devices are installed and are monitored on an ongoing           basis.

5. To ensure general maintenance on buildings and plant is performed -plumbing,            painting, welding, mechanical and electrical work.

6. To assist in the recruitment, development and appraisal of all staff in the                      department.
