Position Title: Human Resource/Industrial Relations Personnel

Location: Westbees Supermarket, Deigo Martin Branch

Job Type: Full-Time, Monthly Salary

Job Overview:

The Human Resource/Industrial Relations Personnel at Westbees Supermarket plays a key role in managing HR functions, addressing Industrial Relations matters, and fostering a positive work environment. This position involves dealing with day-to-day operational issues, composing correspondence to the union, conducting interviews and hiring processes, as well as providing staff training. This position entails Monday to Friday work and at least two Saturdays per month, with no work on Sundays or public holidays.

Responsibilities

HR Functions:

  • Conduct the recruitment and selection process, including interviewing and onboarding new employees
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with employment regulations
  • Draft, review, and distribute HR-related communications, including letters to staff
  • Coordinate and conduct employee training and development programs
  • Handle performance management, including appraisals and disciplinary procedures
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment

Industrial Relations:

  • Interface with union representatives and manage communications effectively
  • Draft and formulate letters and agreements with the union
  • Address day-to-day IR issues and work to maintain positive relations
  • Stay updated on labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements
  • Assist in negotiations and conflict resolution, ensuring a harmonious work environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Industrial Relations, Business Management, or a related field
  • Solid knowledge of Industrial Relations to manage day-to-day operations and issues
  • Experience in composing correspondence, especially with union representatives
  • Proficiency in conducting interviews, hiring processes, and staff training
  • Understanding of HR best practices and employment law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
