Senior Talent Acqusition Officer

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Talent Manager, this role will provide you with the opportunity to:

• Support the development and management of IG’s talent & retention strategies, policies and procedures
• Implement and monitor recruiting and selection procedures such as applicant sourcing, tracking, interviewing, selection, and placement and background checks
• Support the advancement of IG’s values and vision across all aspects of the company
• Oversee data collection and analysis and prepare talent acquisition reports as required
• Track key recruiting metrics, such as turnover rates, sources of hire, among others
• Support the new hire journey map by monitoring the execution as well as evaluation of the initiatives
• Implement and adhere to the recruitment standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure effectiveness in the process
• Prepare and submit SOP’s relating to job functions for review and approval, this will include updating these SOP’s as is required
• Support the onboarding process to ensure new employees (Support Centre & restaurant management) are quickly inducted into the IG’s culture
• Oversee preparation of job offers and employment contracts (Support Centre & restaurant management) new hires
• Facilitate and coordinate work experience, internship and apprenticeship requests

• Highly organized with exception inter-personal, written and oral communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees from directors to hourly team members
• Self and people management skills
• A high level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Social Science discipline or equivalent
• Supervisory Management would be an asset
• A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a similar capacity in the Restaurant/Food Service Industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
• Understanding of the Labour Laws of Jamaica and best practices
