Background

Profiles Caribbean Inc., working collaboratively with our client, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (“The Institute” or “ICAB”), is seeking to recruit a Lead – Member and Student Services.

Job Summary

The Lead – Member and Student Services reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for providing service of the highest quality to the members and students of the Institute whilst maintaining responsibility for the members’ and students’ databases. He/she is also responsible for keeping ICAB members, students and the public abreast of ICAB’s corporate image and information regarding the Institute, including events being held. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as the liaison between ICAB and the professional accounting organizations on issues related to members and students.
  • Acts as the liaison for the ACCA Joint Examination Scheme and ensures that the scheme is operating properly, and that queries regarding the scheme are responded to on a timely basis.
  • Supervises the CPD & Events Officer.
  • With the CPD & Events Officer, liaises with the CPD Committee to ensure that CPD events address members’ needs, and provide the requisite number of hours. Provides administrative support to the CPD Committee.
  • Liaises with the Member Services Committee to develop and manage programmes and events aimed at increasing the value proposition of membership. Provides administrative support to the Member Services Committee.
  • Liaises with the Education and Student Services Committee to develop programmes and events aimed at the students’ professional development and converting students to members.
  • Provides administrative support to the Education and Student Services Committee.
  • Development of annual surveys to membership categories, analysis, and dissemination of results.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Required Competencies and Skills

  • A university degree in a business-related discipline, with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Appropriate customer service experience.
  • IT competence and experience in the use of typical business software applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent human relations skills.
  • Is adaptabile.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Effective delegation skills.
  • A team player who encourages teamwork.
  • Forward thinking and results oriented.
  • Effective problem solving skills.
