HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER

Our client is one of the longest-established hotels in Barbados with an excellent reputation for customer service. They are urgently seeking to appoint a proven Housekeeping Manager to be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a busy department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee housekeeping department including purchasing of cleaning products/Equipment.
  • Controlling housekeeping staff expenses.
  • Participate in department head meetings.
  • Ensure standards of cleanliness are met in all areas of the Hotel.
  • Ensure all housekeeping staff receive adequate training.
  • Evaluate current service levels and implement changes where necessary.
  • Monitor the guest arrival/departure schedule and plan work accordingly.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and providing details to relevant departments.
  • Organizing work rota for the team.
  • Liaise with Laundry department to ensure all items are ready in time.
  • Report any guests’ complaints.

 

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years in a senior housekeeping management role
  • Proven experience of financial management of a department.
  • Well organized with attention to detail
  • Strong customer service ethic.
  • Ability to produce reports for Management.
  • Clean driving license/Car owner
