Job Summary

The Kitchen Adventurer is responsible for the sanitation of the general kitchen area and other assigned projects. Ensuring the pots, pans, dishes and kitchen utensils/equipment are washed and stored: mops floors, assists in garbage disposal and completes other special cleaning projects in the proper manner during the assigned shift.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean food processing facilities, storage rooms, walk in refrigerators kitchen utensils, immediate corridors and holding areas as well as the operation equipment
• Prepping kitchen and supplies
• Cleaning all mobile and stationary equipment including mats and garbage bins
• Ensure items are air dried before storage and maintain organization of supply/storage closets
• Utilize correct cleaning agents for designated items according to standards
• Organize the breakdown area for drop off of soiled wares according to department standards
• Receiving, rotation of all supplies
• Restock work areas for next shift as specified by departmental standards
• Store wares in neat fashion and rotate stock so that all items are used first in first out
• Overseeing candy room/ inventory and restocking candy supplies
• Work in close cooperation with all kitchen and service employees
• Perform all stewarding tasks as per given instructions
• Ensure minimum wastage, breakage and spoilage
• Cleaning and inventorying costumes
• Janitorial mopping
• Perform other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time

• High School diploma or equivalent vocational training
• Food handlers certificate
• Minimum 1 year experience as hotel/restaurant dishwasher or in janitorial/cleaning position preferred
• Computer literate
• Hard worker and committed
• Certification in CPR and First Aid
