Our client is currently responsible for the service of five Combined Heat & Power (CHP) Plants. Each plant has natural gas-powered engines with various sub systems such as heat recovery boilers, pumps, heat exchangers etc.

Professional People Partners Limited is a full-service HR Consultancy Company that is recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor on behalf of our client. The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for the service, uptime, and maintenance of the CHP Plants. The Maintenance Supervisor is the interface between the Service Engineer and the operators or technicians for service, maintenance, planned and unplanned downtime activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely operate, monitor, and maintain combined heat and power plant (CHP) installed by the company which include generators and associated equipment.
  • Safely execute planned and unplanned maintenance and major overhauls on the CHP plant as assigned.
  • Safely troubleshoot and assist OEM engineers in resolving faults and issues with the CHP plant and associated equipment.
  • Collect data and information as required on engines and other equipment and provide reports as required.
  • Determine and monitor spare parts required for CHP plants.
  • Repairs damaged mechanical non-stock spares.
  • Communicates and cooperates with maintenance technicians and Service Engineer before, during and after execution.
  • Supports on management of maintenance plans, asset master data, asset performance and cost analysis (asset technical specialist).
  • Trains technicians in troubleshooting of frequent failures.
  • Reports on planned maintenance work (technical and administrative reporting).
  • Reports work to be planned in HIPPO CMMS and closes out work orders and assigned work orders in HIPPO CMMS.
  • Manages and monitors technical operator and electrical technician roles and schedules operators and technicians work hours and work shifts accordingly.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Engineering or industrial discipline.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a maintenance organization
  • Experience in an industrial environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications particularly in Word, Excel & Project.
  • Ability to use intuitive web-based platforms.
  • Able to plan, organize and manage information to create an effective maintenance program for large industrial site.
  • Must own and be able to operate a reliable motor car.
  • Able to work on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Strong technical knowledge of generator systems, including engines, alternators, control panels, and associated components.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to generator maintenance.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving, and people skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
