The Senior Maintenance Technician – Electric Lift has the responsibility for overseeing the upkeep of Electric Pallet Trucks, Reach-Fork and Deep-Reach Lift trucks, and for the skillset & technical competence development of Senior Maintenance Technicians – Electric Lift

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseeing the functions of the electric unit maintenance team.
  • Conduct Scheduled Maintenance on electrical lift trucks and pallet jacks in a timely and industry-approved manner, and in accordance with company policy
  • Identify spares required for inventory and initiate requisition of same
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults affecting electrical circuits, inclusive of short-circuit, open-circuit, high resistance, defective modules, deteriorated power supply, etc.
  • Accurately diagnose and repair hydraulic, brake, steering and mechanical systems, to include disassembly/reassembly of machine components
  • Utilize OEM service manuals and read schematic diagrams
  • Perform quality control inspection of equipment to ensure conformity with OEM and statutory regulations

                  

JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES [Minimum]

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in repair and maintenance of Electrical Reach Trucks, Aerial Lifts; Lift Trucks; and other related material handling equipment. Experience maintaining Raymond brand of equipment would be an asset.
  • Certification in electric unit maintenance, preferable for Raymond electric units.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills and the ability to work safely with minimal supervision
