JOB TITLE: Fashion Marketing Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for executing the marketing strategies of the company by supporting the marketing strategist with the research, planning and execution of all digital media, mass media and event campaigns. The fashion marketing assistant works with and reports to the brand’s marketing strategist, and also reports directly to the Managing Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Supports and assists management in executing event campaigns, digital media campaigns and mass media campaigns.
• Manages and creates content for social media platforms as outlined by marketing guidelines and brand pillar messages for the calendar year.
• Utilizes social media as a customer service tool to enhance the customer experience and to identify and create leads for the sales team.
• Provides regular reports on all marketing touchpoints, executions and initiatives.
• Conducts reports on market trends and competitor initiatives and reports these findings to the marketing strategist.
• Ensures that the quality and consistency of service is maintained.
• Schedules appointments with clients, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular 'cold' calling.
• Keeps up-to-date with the latest product knowledge in order to support the interpreting, presenting and discussing of product information with clients.
• Liaises with marketing, creative and sales teams to ensure the timely and successful execution of strategies and events, so that financial and marketing goals are met.
• Identifies the best resources and services providers needed for campaign executions, managing the request for quotations and making recommendations for service providers based on budget and creative capacity.
• Recommends and identifies influencers and ambassadors for the brand, and manages all of their assigned weekly activities, while reporting on performance to the brand strategist.
• Supports the marketing strategist in executing major brand events, campaigns and when needed, in the production of social media video content.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Academic Qualifications

• Certification in marketing and/or professional background in Sales/Marketing
• Certification in graphic design would be an asset

 Skills:

• Self-motivated and committed to driving sales.
• Passionate about fashion
• Creativity in fashion product merchandising, content creation and copywriting.
• Research oriented and data driven.
• Proficient in social media content planning, analytics reporting and advertisement management.
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
• Positive attitude, values and work ethic, with a pleasant disposition.
• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, with strong time management and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in the use of computers and applications especially Microsoft Office suite, content creation and editing apps such as Light Room, Canva and other photo and video editing applications.
• ·         Proficiency in marketing/ sales/ competitor data analysis, reporting and communication.

Experience:

• Experience in social media marketing (2-3 yrs), event planning (2-3yrs) and performance reporting (2-3yrs)
• Experience in fashion marketing will be considered an asset

Additional Requirements:

• Must own a motor vehicle and be willing to visit different store locations
• Be willing and able to travel extensively when required.
• Be willing and able to work outside of standard work hours, including weekends.
