Job Summary: The Service Station Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service station, ensuring the provision of quality customer service, managing staff, maintaining safety and environmental compliance, and achieving financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Ensure the smooth operation of the service station, including fuel dispensing, retail sales, and other facilities.
    • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies, including fuel, oil, and convenience store items.
  • Staff Management:
    • Assist with the recruitment, training, supervising and schedule service station staff, including fuel attendants, cashiers, and maintenance personnel.
    • Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing training.
  • Customer Service:
    • Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
    • Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
    • Train staff in delivering excellent customer service.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Enforce safety standards and ensure all employees follow safety procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including fuel spill prevention and waste disposal.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor daily sales and expenses to achieve financial targets.
    • Develop and manage the station's budget, including profit and loss statements.
    • Implement pricing strategies to remain competitive in the market.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
    • Develop and execute marketing and promotional campaigns to attract and retain customers.
    • Stay informed about market trends and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Maintenance and Repairs:
    • Oversee maintenance and repair activities to maintain the station in good working condition.
    • Coordinate maintenance schedules and manage service contracts.
  • Inventory Control:
    • Manage inventory levels of fuel, oil, and convenience store items.
    • Implement inventory control processes to reduce losses and waste.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate records of daily transactions, inventory levels, and expenses.
    • Prepare reports for upper management or regulatory agencies as required.
  • Compliance and Regulations:
    • Ensure the service station complies with all local regulations related to safety, environmental standards, and business operation.
  • Security:
    • Implement security measures to protect the station and its assets, including surveillance systems, alarm systems, and employee training on security procedures.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management:
    • Establish relationships with fuel suppliers, convenience store suppliers, and other vendors.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Emergency Response:
    • Develop and implement emergency response procedures for situations like fuel spills, fires, and accidents.

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
    • Previous experience in service station management or a related industry.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance.
