Experienced Restaurant Manager - must have Micros/Simphony POS experience

The Manager's responsibility is to plan, direct and oversee all bar & restaurant operations including managing staff, ensuring product and service standards are met, implementing, and maintaining procedures for maximum operating efficiency. Before, during and after service, providing warm and friendly customer service that contributes to the overall customer experience. The successful candidate Must be proficient with Micros/Simphony POS.  The Manager must be able to properly, and regularly, assess and utilize the data from the POS system in guiding the operation and direction of the restaurant.

Tasks

  • Ensure that service is at its absolute best and the customer experience is always priority one.
  • Execute recruiting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining employees, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring etc.
  • Assist with planning menus by consulting and working closely with the Head Chef to produce monthly food costs & profitability.
  • Place emphasis on working with staff to upsell at all times in order to maximize revenues.
  • Action bar sales with a high level of customer service.
  • Ensuring industry standards to a clean, tidy and healthy work areas. Ensure the stock rooms, wine chiller, bar areas & behind bars are always kept clean and tidy.
  • Ensure refilling and rotating stock.
  • Answering customer enquiries to a professional industry standard.
  • Ensure all equipment is kept clean and tidy and in good working condition.
  • Ensuring good communication between all staff & managers.
  • Carry out duties as required.
  • Handle cash transactions in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services / features to respond to guest enquiries.
  • Check storage areas for proper supplies, organization and cleanliness. Instruct designated personnel to rectify any cleanliness/organization deficiencies.
  • Co-ordinate breaks for staff.
  • Assign work and side duties to staff.
  • Coordinate lighting, music, ensuring correct volume and appropriateness to clientele.
  • Monitor Happy Hour Set up and service.
  • Ensure a tab for owners / staff / managers is kept to help with inventory & have check signed by staff/owner/manager.
  • Run system closing report and ensure that all servers' checks are closed before they sign out.
  • Ensure all closing duties for staff are completed before staff sign out.
  • Ensure that at the end of the shift, all bars are fully stocked, clean and secure and lights, fans are off. Check beach loungers are put away and everything is secure.
  • Ensure all funds and proceeds belonging to the business are accounted for, secured, and locked in the safe before leaving the premises.
  • Ensure full operational, and company compliance with Health department protocols always.
