The Production Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Production Department and lends support to the Production Manager and coordinating with the supervisory team, production planning and ensuring efficient operations whilst achieving production targets.

Duties & Responsibilities:
o Responsible for daily coordination with and support of the supervisory team to achieve operational
success.
o Ensure the production team is aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities.
o Interface with Production Planning to determine schedules for shift production to ensure the
manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
o Maintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions.
o Measure and monitor the waste management system.
o Liaise with Quality department re: production quality issues and carry out incident, accident and non-
conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
o Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems.
o Maintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, setting processing variables, observing
control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing
cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctions
within process control points, and initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between
departments.
o Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results,
establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting
results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
o Plan & prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance & minimum delay / with changeovers not
affecting the other line production.
o Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analysing production
performance records and data, and answering questions and responding to requests.

o Creates and revises systems and procedures by analysing operating practices, record-keeping systems,
forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, and implementing change.
o Resolves personnel problems by analysing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and
recommending action.
o Performing regular inspections of the production plants to ensure plants are maintained in a clean, safe
& sanitary condition.
o Perform administrative functions such as developing and maintaining department databases, google
sheets, preparation and distribution of routine production reports as well as development of SOPs and
checklists.
o Monitors departmental training records, vacation, absenteeism, disciplinary and tardiness logs;
o Conforms to and enforces all established departmental and company policies, procedures and
objectives, GMPs, food safety and HSE site protocols;
o Immediately reports / communicates any non-conformances relating to production operations to the
production manager and/or relevant responsible position;
o Assists with tracking and managing of departmental expenses and budgets.
o Train as an alternate for the Production Supervisor and Production Planner positions.
o Supervise production shift in the absence of the Production Supervisor (can apply to either Edibles or
Soaps).
o Performs other related tasks and responsibilities as required by the Production Manager;
o Undergo any job-related training required by the company;
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

o Degree in Process Operations, Food Science, Chemistry, Management or Engineering;
o Certificate in Supervisory Management or previous experience at a supervisory level;
o 3-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment at a supervisory level;
o Time & process management skills and the ability to delegate
o Excellent leadership and organizational skills
o Strong communication, decision-making and interpersonal skills
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
o Good multitasking skills & effective in a fast paced environment;
