The Officer, Design & Development provides support to the Senior Manager, Design & Delivery to implement training needs analysis, design and development and evaluation and measurement activities to meet the current and emerging needs of the business.

About the Role

The Officer, Design & Development provides support to the Senior Manager, Design & Delivery to implement training needs analysis, design and development and evaluation and measurement activities to meet the current and emerging needs of the business. This incumbent will partner with subject matter experts, relevant segment representatives, Talent Acquisition & Development (TAD) and HR team members to determine and confirm content, delivery methodologies, piloting and sign off of the training materials development.

 

About Success

• Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs), and other stakeholders to design and develop course content (instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, emerging channels) with the goal of translating curriculum design into actionable learning, in a timely manner.

• Coordinates design and development initiatives to facilitate various levels of evaluation and measurement as agreed with the Manager, Learning & Performance Evaluation.

• Responsible for ensuring that all changes in terms of systems, policy, process, procedures are integrated into learning solutions to achieve accuracy in terms of content, keeping the information current in order to maintain the integrity of the product and the training deliverables.

• Works collaboratively with the facilitators and designers to ensure that there is a cohesive approach to training design and delivery in support projects or business segment change programmes.

 

About You

• Strong technical skills relevant to the creation of high quality training and learning resources using Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud and Captivate.

• 3 or more years of experience in a learner experience design/instructional design, developing blended, instructor-led, eLearning, micro learning, and video-based content.

• Experience applying graphic design principles and/or creating design documents, storyboards, assessment questions and narrative scripts

• Knowledge of LMS systems

• Knowledge of behavioural and leadership theories / models with the ability to integrate concepts meaningfully into learning solutions.
