Corporate Sales Manager (I.T Solutions)

 

OVERVIEW

 Our client, one of the leading I.T solution providers in the region is seeking to recruit a Corporate Sales Manager. The primary role is to manage the Sales Team based in Barbados. This is a senior management position that requires a well-organized “lead from the front” individual with an analytical approach and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate a team and provide strategic input.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Identify the most appropriate product/service combination for a given situation and to be able to articulate the key features and benefits of the solution identified.
  • To sell products, solutions and services effectively as the need arises.
  • Manage, coach and develop Sales Team.
  • Make use of the expertise within the organization and major suppliers to become familiar with, and proficient in, effective Sales Management Process, with the objective of making that process an integral part of the operation and management of the MPS Sales Department.
  • Formulate a sales strategy for team, that takes account of the Company’s mission statement, objectives, strategic plan, ongoing operations and constraints and to revise/update that plan as the need dictates, but at least once per annum.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of the team, as well as each individual team member, and take necessary action (including, but not limited to coaching, raining, motivating, encouraging and to bring about the desired results.
  • Undertake monthly performance review meetings with each team member and to provide appropriate recommendations  regarding changes in general procedures that would facilitate an improvement in the performance of the Sales Department.
  • Always set an example to team members  by demonstrating a professional approach, a positive attitude, support for other members of the management team and adherence to company policies and procedures. 
  • Provide designated personnel within the company, with accurate performance data in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare and submit monthly forecast
  • Assure the implementation of corporate strategies within the local market while assuring optimization of business results.
  • Full  Sales activity & P&L accountability.
  • Expand channels coverage to guarantee that MPS products are offered and delivered to all potential customers.
  • Create and sustain an effective and efficient sales organization structure (across all channels)  that delivers expected revenue in a predictable fashion.
  • Manage the implementation of training strategies for sales warranty activities.
  • Develop key relationships with senior management/directors within the business market.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in business, marketing or related technical area or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 5 years sales experience and knowledge in technology or Professional Services environment.
  • Experience in negotiations at the highest level.
  • 5 years minimum in sales management.
  • Understanding of all business operations, including the core drivers within the sales and marketing process.
  • Experience managing financial P&L.
