We are seeking a talented and seasoned Human Resource Coordinator! Apply Today!

The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes for our Kingston location. This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This role also provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting orientations and onboarding new hires.

• Maintaining the HR Management Systems.

• Maintain end to end employee file management process in electronic and paper form.

• Fulfill employment verification requests and job letters.

• Coordinating the enrollment, de-enrollment, claims and tracking for health and life insurance.

• Manage the work permit/CME process for prospective foreign employees.

• Provide coordination and support to the HR team in capturing data, research for HR programmes, initiatives and investigations.

• Coordinating the IT requests for addition and removal of leaders for the MBJ leadership distribution lists.

• Generate a variety of HR reports using the HR Management Systems for People Success and other business partners.

• Identify and make recommendations for People Success process improvements.

• Performs other duties as assigned, e.g. Receptionist Duties.

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field.

• 1+ years of related experience

• Knowledge of fair Labour Laws and Labour practices

• Experience supporting hourly employees and client groups • Knowledge of HR Systems

 

KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Strong communication skills (oral/written)

• Excellent time and project management skills

• Adaptability to learn a variety of software programs

• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Full understanding of HR functions and best practices

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines

• Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools

• Fantastic organizational and time management skill
