We are seeking to identify a talented Human Resource Manager to join our organization. This individual will play a strategic role in ensuring that the HR objectives are met.

Human Resource Manager

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage all aspects of the recruitment and selection process to ensure that the Company’s staffing levels are met
  • Ensure that all new recruits are successfully on boarded in the organization
  • Conduct assessments to identify training needs and develop training plan to support the continuous training and development of employees
  • Facilitate the disciplinary procedures while ensuring full compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Update the human resource policies and procedures as required and is aligned with current legislation
  • Develop and maintain a culture of reward and recognition to support employees’ retention and engagement
  • Monitor the performance management process and support managers to ensure that reviews are completed within the set timelines
  • Generate and submit monthly HR metrics report
  • Administer employees’ records to include leave management and updating of files physically and electronically
  • Liaise with external business partners
  • Communicate changes including leave, deductions and adjustments to the payroll department
  • Identify and develop succession plans for key roles within the company
  • Chair the Health Safety and Environment Committee
  • Manage the day to day internal and external HR related matters

 

Qualifications

 

  • BSc in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Minimum of five (5) years proven experience as HR Manager or in a similar role, three (3) of which must be at the strategic level

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 

  • In depth knowledge of Jamaican labour laws 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong decision making, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and resolve conflicts
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to relate to and manage people
  • Familiarity with occupational health and safety standards
