Lasco Distributors Ltd. is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Commercial Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent will play a crucial role in the company's financial success by providing valuable insights and data-driven analysis to support commercial operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of the company's commercial activities, including revenue, costs, profitability, and pricing strategies.
• Gather and analyze market data, trends, and competitor information to identify potential business opportunities and threats.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective pricing strategies, promotions, and discounts to maximize revenue.
• Create accurate sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales team input to support inventory management and resource allocation.
• Assess the profitability of different product lines, customer segments, and geographic regions to optimize the allocation of resources.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial plans and provide ongoing financial performance analysis to track progress against targets.
• Review and analyze commercial contracts to ensure alignment with company goals and mitigate risks.
• Create clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required to support decision-making processes within the company.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field and/or Pursuing ACCA Level 2 certification years of accounting/finance experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, financial software, and data visualization tools.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations is a plus.
