The Student Receivables Liaison Clerk provides support to the receivables functions of the Finance and Accounts Department

The UNIVERSITY OF THE COMMONWEALTH CARIBBEAN invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of:

Student Receivables Liaison Clerk 

The Student Receivables Liaison Clerk provides support to the receivables functions of the Finance and Accounts Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect and record payments from students
  • Prepare invoices for tuition
  • Prepare summary cash report on a daily basis
  • Enter and Update external payments(JNB,BNS& Aeorion)
  • Enter payments for regional Campuses
  • Receipt filing
  • Communicate information regarding tuition costs and payment options to students and relevant departments
  • Calculate total payments received during a time period, and reconcile this with total sales
  • Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
  • Prepare report(s) for submission on the 20th of each month
  • Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.

COMPETENCES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels both orally and in writing
  • High confidential in handling client information
  • High level of initiative, accountability and integrity
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Experience in the use of information systems used in the accounting field, e.g. ACCPAC.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate Degree in Management Studies, Business Administration or a related field of study
  • A minimum of two (2) years working experience in a similar or related capacity
