The Offshore Logistics Drilling Coordinator is responsible to ensure the safe, reliable and effective logistics planning. Interfacing closely with the Well Site Leader, Onshore Logistics Coordinators, Transport Coordinators and Vendors.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure all activity is aligned to the daily operations plan, endorsed by the Well Site Leader and proactively shared with the Onshore Logistics and Transport Coordinators.

• Update Kabal as a daily function.

 

General

• Act as the logistics offshore focal point with regards to the timely coordination of all inbound and outbound cargo movements with emphasis on the optimisation of logistics resources, especially supply and crew vessel utilisation.

• Communicate all forecast back load cargo and offshore deck capacity requirements to Onshore Logistics Coordinator in a timely manner no later than 48hrs prior to vessels planned departure from port.

• Prepare and distribute daily GWOs 7 or 5 day look ahead as directed by the offshore WSL.

• Prepare cargo manifests and ensure a copy is provided to the vessel master and onshore supply base team.

• Ensure the accuracy of the vessel manifest and supporting paperwork, including accurate quantities & description of cargo (deck & under deck) and certification of CCUS.

• Communicate and maintain working relationships with all key stakeholders onshore & offshore and where necessary communicate contingency/planned changes including any weather impacts

• Application of Offshore Deck Management process.

• Reinforce and apply all relevant CLIENT global and regional procedures with respect to managing the logistics plan

• Ensure all back loaded waste fluids are transported in accordance with CLIENT waste management procedures and adheres to H2S procedure. This includes liaison with the offshore Mud Engineer, Barge Engineer and, when relevant, WSL to ensure verification checks have been completed with respect to documentation and, when necessary, chemical dosing has been applied.

• Management of Dangerous Goods, MSDS, Explosives, Waste Management and all statutory requirements including Customs & Environmental legislation. Ensure manifest and supporting documentation is completed prior to vessel departing the offshore location.

• Work with offshore service providers’ representatives to optimise the time rental equipment spends offshore.

• Ensure high cost rental equipment is back loaded on the first available vessel to minimise rental costs. Consider cost of equipment rental charge versus vessel cost/potential impact on other functional operations.

• Where applicable maintain MODU chemical usage tracker ensuring limits are adhered to. Communicate any variance to WSL in a timely manner.

• Report all logistics non-conformance through the relevant CLIENT system. Where necessary carry out in-depth investigations on the location.

• Deliver connectivity and engagement between Logistics and internal and external stakeholders, focus on planning, prioritisation and optimisation of Logistics resources to meet operational cargo requirements.

 

Customer

• Develop and maintain effective customer relationships.

• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery within the ASCO operation.

• Investigate service failures and suggest improvements/changes to the process where required.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of wide operational experience in the Oil and Gas Industry

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies

• Interpretation of Well Programs

• Working knowledge of clients MPR system (SAP)

 

HSEQ

• In partnership with the HSE department, ensure the continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance to all laws, regulations and industry standards/codes.

• Reports all incidents or breaches of policy or regulations to the line manager.

• Fully endorse the ASCO ‘Stop the Job’ policy and commitment to proactive intervention where an unsafe act or condition is observed.

• Adherence to the ASCO’s integrated management system ensuring document control and improvements to key processes is maintained.

• Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner, always complies with HSEQ procedures, GLP, working instructions and safety standards.
