SENIOR TECHNICAL ANALYST, INFRASTRUCTURE
JOB SUMMARY:
To assist the Technical Projects Administrator/Manager with the implementation of solutions for a secure IT infrastructure to support business needs and continuity of service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates actively in the execution of project assignments by ensuring project documentation is complete and that projects are implemented per ITIL standards.
- Schedules and executes system installation/ modification and tests to ensure effectiveness in meeting user needs.
- Keeps abreast of new trends and systems in the global IT space to improve the bank’s technology capacity. Prepares Requests for Proposals per the Bank’s tendering process and ensures recommendations are completed in a timely fashion.
- Monitors overall performance and usage of the servers and network and plays a major role in recommending and implementing changes and/or additions to the IT infrastructure.
- Evaluates, recommends, installs, upgrades, maintains and tunes system software and hardware. Assists in negotiating contracts and service agreements with vendors.
- Acts as an advisor and provides support to business application project teams. Provides technical expertise to users and other units within the department.
- Provides direction and training to IT personnel who provide first level troubleshooting and maintenance of the infrastructure. Provides technical training as needed and ensures knowledge transfers are completed after all projects under purview are implemented.
- Defines standards, policies and procedures for the operation and maintenance of a secure IT infrastructure and ensures these are adhered to during the implementation of all systems in the environment.
- Effectively addresses human resource issues for staff and ensures that employee performance is monitored with ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Performs any other job related functions.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- An Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or any related field or Professional Qualification
- A minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in Information Technology
- Strong Skills in managing Azure or Cloud technologies
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Strong Skills in managing Firewalls
- Good Interpersonal/Communication/Negotiations Skills
- Good Analytical/Problem Solving Skills
- Supervisory Skills
- Knowledge of relevant and emerging industry standards.
SKILLS AND TRAINING CONSIDERED AS ASSETS FOR THE JOB:
- Microsoft Certification, CCNA, ITIL Foundation Certification, Linux Administration, Check Point Firewall Administration
- Experience and certification in Data Center Management
- Certification in Information Security (CISSP, CISM, CISA)

- Good Interpersonal/Communication Skills
- Good Analytical/Problem Solving Skills
