Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position in the Process Development Division:

 

Divisional Manager, Process Development

The Divisional Manager, Process Development is charged with the responsibility of coordinating all process engineering activities relating to wastewater management, process development, Agro-processing and Technology Transfer. In addition, provide guidance and oversight on business/income ventures and all quality management activities within the division.

 Educational Requirement

  • M.Sc./PhD in Process Engineering; Environmental Science; Food Chemistry/Technology; Agro-production or equivalent.
  • Certification in Project Management
  • Five (5) years post-qualification experience in process engineering in a manufacturing or research and development organization, with at least three (3) years at a senior level.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Prepares the organisation’s annual strategic objectives for the Process Development Division in consultation with the Executive Director, other Divisional Heads and Board Members.
  2. Prepares annual divisional operating plan in consultation with team members directly under supervision.
  3. Plans and directs all Process Engineering and Process Improvement activities in areas under supervision.
  4. Visits client operations to ensure customer satisfaction with services provided by members of the division.
  5. Negotiates major supply contracts, financial arrangements and sales agreements as seen fit.
  6. Attend local and international meetings as required.
  7. Perform any other relevant duties which might be assigned from time to time.
