We are looking for an experienced Sales Account Manager to support clients and manage sales activities. The core responsibilities of Sales Account Manager include maintaining client relationships, overseeing the sales process, and acting as a point of contact.

SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER

The Sales Account Manager primary responsibility is generating new sales opportunities to drive revenue for the company in Jamaica and throughout the Caribbean. S/he will oversee sales activities for our wellness line by developing, maintaining, and supporting client relationships, overseeing the sales process, and acting as a key point of contact to our B2B clients.

The Sales Account Manager must have excellent interpersonal skills, great customer service skills, strong business acumen, and problem-solving skills. The incumbent will be required to travel frequently to meet with potential new and existing clients throughout Jamaica and the Caribbean

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develop cannabis and hemp product knowledge and understand all elements of the brand and its product line to be able to sell and manage clients who are re-selling our products.
  • Work closely with finance to forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Collaborating with senior executives to establish and execute sales goal for the Caribbean - main focus being Jamaica.
  • Selling into new accounts based on agreed target list, this would include onboarding new resellers and wholesalers nationally and regionally.
  • Develop and manage a target list, ensuring contact information are updated daily.
  • Manage and maintain any CRM tools, account management excel spread sheets or any other internally approved documentation that is utilized to co-ordinate and record sales account management details.
  • Develop, manage, and update all sales materials, presentation decks, pricing information and any other materials that are developed to manage the sales account function. Ensure documents are uploaded into company drop box or other software that is utilized from time to time.
  • Develop strategic plans to ensure growth both long and short-term
  • Develop training materials to support our clients’ sales team’s ability to sell the company's products.
  • Execute brand and product training materials that helps support clients’ sales teams sell our  products.
  • Review sales expenses and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure proper invoicing and receivables management of all customers.
  • Work closely with marketing team regarding planning, promoting, and marketing the business as per the company's brand standards.
  • Ensure marketing support is in place for resellers and wholesalers across the region.
  • Share and document customer feedback within the broader team as it relates to product quality, new product development or any other relevant information gained from clients or customers interactions.
  • Manage customer issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
  • Develop and manage ongoing competitors’ price, product, and location matrix.
  • Ideate, develop, manage, and execute any other activities that could be required in the pursuit to drive sales, and manage existing clients effectively.

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND TECHNIQUES REQUIRED

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation, time management and negotiation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively to support business operations
  • Polished, professional attitude and appearance and strong rapport-building skills

 

QUALIFICATIONS:              

  • BSc degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field.
  • Proven work experience as a Sales account manager or Sales account executive
  • Hands on experience in sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer experience
  • Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
