As we expand our operations, we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Manager to join our team and help us maintain optimal inventory levels, streamline our supply chain, and ensure the efficient flow of products within our organization. 

 Job Summary

As an Inventory Manager at Honey Bun, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our inventory and supply chain operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our products are readily available to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs and excess stock. You will work closely with various departments, suppliers, and logistics teams to develop and execute inventory management strategies that align with the company's goals. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that various inventory locations are held accountable for the inventory issued by implementing policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy of the inventory.
  • Recommend, and implement Policies and procedures to secure company assets.
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods.
  • Develop and train warehousing to ensure the accuracy, accountability, and security of various inventory items.
  • Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals.
  • Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention (both in labour hours and inventory items).
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, such as quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, and shipping.
  • Management of Warehouses Raw materials, spare parts, Fleet, maintenance, finished goods and production.
  • Oversee inventory audits and reconciliation processes to include daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
  • Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Analyze data to forecast demand and make data-driven decisions.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost control efforts related to inventory.
  • Implement continuous cost improvement initiatives to enhance inventory efficiency.
  • Ensure inventory counts are done periodically, and variances are investigated and reported on.
  • Ensure adequate staff is on hand to perform inventory management functions.
  • Liaise with Accounts Receivables Manager to ensure route reconciliations are completed on a timely basis.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

 Skill, Abilities, and Education:

  • BSc degree in Accounting, Business administration, or Logistics Operations and management and/or.
  • Three or more years of experience in warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with warehousing procedures and policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
  • Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in budget assembly.
  • Experience in management of staff.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.

Working Conditions:

The Inventory Manager typically works in an office or warehouse setting.  The work environment may involve both desk-based tasks and on-site inventory. He/she is expected to work regular business hours, which is 40 hours per week, however, during busy periods, he/she may need to work overtime or weekends to meet demands, conduct inventory counts, or manage special projects.
